About Us
The Ute Mountain Ute Tribe Utility Department is where you fill out an application to help pay for Utilities. Our main priorities will be Rent, Electric, Water, Propane and Gas. The amount for fiscal year 2024 is $1,000.

- Automotive Parts/Tires
- Automotive Insurance/Car Payments
- Internet
- Contract Phones
- Cable/Satellite
- Plumbing/Toilets
- Heating Repairs
- Windows/Doors (no screen doors)
- Sewer
1. When turning in your application and billing. The billing cannot be handwritten, it has to be an official bill with the holder's name, account number and where to send the check.
2. If a tribal member is incarcerated we will NOT accept any paperwork for them. • We are not accepting any POA'S.
3. In order for the utility program to process any rent we would need these required documents:
- Utility application
- W-9
- Lease agreement (has to be signed)
If these documents are not turned in we will not process any paperwork.
4. When filling out your application we would appreciate if you put a working phone number on your application.
5. We will not put up with anyone that is belligerent or under the influence we have the right to refuse service.
6. We will not be handing out checks to tribal members over the counter. All checks will be mailed out to the vendors except for auto repairs and auto parts. The auto repair and auto parts will be sent to tribal members mailing address.
7. We will not be responsible for late payments. Please turn in your paper work two weeks ahead before the due date.

Information regarding the FY23 Utility Program
In the FY 23 Utility policy it reads:
UTILITY MONIES SHALL NOT BE SOLD OR EXCHANGED OR BARTERED. If found to be selling or misusing utilities member(s) will forfeit remainder of utility assistance for the year. Excess benefits or benefits used for ineligible purposes must be returned. Any sale or misuse of nontaxable assistance shall be reported as a taxable distribution unless timely repaid. May not use your utilities to pay bills for anyone who is not an immediate family member. For purposes of this program immediate family member will consist of the following: mother, father, sister, brother, son, daughter, spouse & grandparents.
**We will stop any utility requests if we see any misuse**
